2013 has been deemed the Summer of Gatsby.  

Here at Green Light we consider every summer the summer of Gatsby but are thrilled for another reason to celebrate our favorite classic. We are loving all the life that Baz Luhrmann’s adaptation to the book has brought.

Kobo

Kobo has been the favorite around the office. They are based in Canada and very friendly to indie publishers, booksellers, and libraries. Great for those of you who want to speak out with your shopping. Shopping small really can make a difference!

There are 4 Kobo e-Readers so there is one just right for everyone on your list. Wired Magazine rated the Kobo Touch the best E-Reader. They also have apps so you can read your Kobo books on your phone or computer.

Kindle is certainly the classic e-Reader. The Kindle with Paperwhite is great and really makes the book look like a paperback. The Kindle Touch is easy on your wallet and your eyes. Everyone is excited by Apple products, we can tell by the lines around the block whenever something new comes out. The iPad and the iBookstore offer a great reading experience - they patented the lifelike page turn! The iPad is great if you want to keep your library with you at all times. The downside is there are Angry Birds and a million apps to distract from finally finishing Ulysses. Those easily distracted beware but those who love an all-in-one - this is it.

Green Light has less than 5 editors, writers, IT engineers, and marketers. Our team is quite small but we believe in quality e-Books. Our founder started this business in her living room inspired by her overcrowded bookshelf and her desire to have the classics with her on her phone, computer, and e-Reader. In the past couple of years we’ve grown to publish hundreds of e-Books including our first new work Writing for the Senses by Olivia Aragon. We’ve also seen our first winner of an illustration contest bringing our winner Anna from Greece to create a beautiful edition of Anna Karenina. We hope to grow even more adding great quality books both classic and new.
